Pa Trout unlimited LogoApplications are being Accepted for Youth Camp
Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited's Award-Winning Youth Fishing Camp

The award winning camp will continue to emphasize improving our cold water resources by addressing environmental issues as well as teaching fly fishing techniques. The lessons and memories from camp will last a lifetime and will encourage students to become active immediately as well as grow into leaders of the future. The camp will be held June 15-20, 2008.

The location of the camp will be the Allenberry Resort on the Yellow Breeches Creek in Boiling Springs, PA. The total cost, including tuition plus room and board is $275. Both boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 17 are eligible. Applications must be received by March 15, 2008. The camp will be limited to 32 students. Students will be selected on the basis of a written essay, primarily detailing their interest and activity in cold water conservation as well as fly fishing. The application can be printed off of our web site, www.riverscamp.com.

Request for Flies

Again this year the call is out for flies for the Youth Conservation and Flyfishing Camp that is held each year in June. In the past many people have stepped up and donated flies. Please consider volunteering your skills to help young men and women become better conservationist. As with every other year; each pattern requires 3 dozen flies.  Please contact me if you are interested in helping out.
