THE 2007 PATU AWARDS were presented at the
fall meeting dinner, Saturday, September 22, at the
Stackhouse Center, Bellefonte, Pa. Congratulations to
all those chapters and individuals recognized. The Summer
2008 issue will carry nomination information for
next years awards -- be sure to enter. Thanks to Frank
Viozzi and Gerry Miller, for overseeing the awards program,
and Gary Skomra, for preparing the plaques.

CHESTNUT RIDGE CHAPTER received two
awards at the fall meeting, the Edward J. Urbas Award
for Best Pennsylvania Chapter and the Best Chapter
Website Award.
ED BELLIS was honored by PATU as the recipient of the "Inky" Moore Award for Distinguished Service to Council.
TOM YOUNG was presented the Dr. John A. Doc Fritchey Award for Outstanding Coldwater Conservationist (TU Member).
DONEGAL CHAPTER was the winner of the Best Chapter Project Award.
R O B E R T PENNELL received the Ken Sink Memorial Service Award, for outstanding service to PATU.
TIADAGHTON CHAPTER received two awards, for the Greatest Increase in Membership and the Greatest Percentage Increase in Membership.
FORBES TRAIL CHAPTER also took two PATU awards, the Samuel Slaymaker Award for Best Chapter Newsletter (The Trails) and the Dr. Jack Beck Award for Outstanding Youth Outreach.
KARL LUTZ, Area Habitat Manager for the Pa. Fish and Boat Commission, was recognized with the Outstanding Coldwater Conservationist (Professional) Award.
